LBS & tourism through the eyes of a postgrad marketing student in New Zealand.

Inaugural Post

I decided to keep this because I know I'll be blogging a lot about my thesis this year, and this seems like a good way to keep track of what's happening in the blogosphere in terms of LBS, m-commerce, tourism, etc.

A little bit more about myself - I'm a postgraduate student completing the second year of my Master of Commerce degree in Marketing at the University of Auckland. 2005 will be split between working hard on my thesis, 'The Perceived Value of Location-Based Services in New Zealand Tourism', tutoring an undergraduate marketing paper (MKTG301) and procrastinating on both of these... Thanks to the good people at the Ministry of Tourism for giving me a scholarship for my research this year - you rock!

Anyway, if you have any questions/comments about LBS and/or NZ Tourism, feel free to email me anytime at clara.leung@auckland.ac.nz. =)
